OMP O’Hare Modernization Program
The O’Hare Modernization Program (OMP) was a 16-year, $6 billion investment that transformed the airfield into a modern configuration, reducing delays and paving the way for future terminal redevelopment. The focus of the program was to reconfigure the antiquated runway system into a series of parallel (east-west) runways in order to increase runway capacity at one of the world’s busiest airports. The construction consisted of building four new runways, the extensions of two existing runways, the building of two new airport traffic control towers and the relocation of numerous facilities at O’Hare International Airport. Our team has played a key role in the development of the airfield layout plan, runway configurations, and terminal expansion strategies. We continue to provide ongoing consultancy services, supporting the successful execution of this significant infrastructure project.
