CADD Technician (West Chicago, IL)

Salary Range: $50-$62K

We seek a dynamic CADD Technician to join our team full-time to oversee our survey operations at our West Chicago, IL office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the project manager and engineer with preparing plans, specifications, base sheets, estimates of hours, and all survey-related documents.
  • Perform and oversee the design and technical calculations, material lists, construction details, drawings, and diagrams.
  • Prepare complex and complete engineering designs and Survey-related drawings (Plats of Survey, ALTA/NSPS, and Topographic base sheets) using computerized drafting tools, AutoCAD or MicroStation, and examine drawings for conformity and errors.
  • Review all aspects of CADD drawings, such as drawing standards, spelling, readability, and accuracy.
  • Coordinate design and drafting with project managers and engineers from the outset to completion.
  • Maintain proficiency in the latest relevant technologies.
  • Ensure proper adherence to company standards of procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum high school diploma or associate degree with a certificate in drafting technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience working with Illinois DOTs or local agencies is an asset but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microstation/Geopak, Open Road Designer, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
  • Skilled technical reading skills.
  • Strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work within set procedures and policies to ensure that privacy protocols and standard operating procedures are always followed.
  • An enthusiastic and dynamic character who works well in a team setting with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
