Civil Transportation Engineers:

Quigg Engineering, Inc. (QEI) is seeking candidates for a Civil Transportation Project Manager/Engineer position for our Springfield, Illinois office. Quigg Engineering is a dynamic, multi-disciplined Engineering firm providing services throughout Illinois and central Florida. Our clients include State DOT’s, Toll Authorities, Local Agencies, and private developers.

 

Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 5-15 years of experience. Prior work experience with IDOT or Illinois Tollway projects is required. Candidates should possess good oral and written communication skills as the position requires extensive coordination/communication with clients. Candidates should have experience with Microstation and the Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Geopak, Highway Capacity Software, traffic modeling software (SYNCHRO and/or Vissim) is desirable, but not required.

 

New team members will gain experience and technical leadership skills in Preliminary Design Studies, Design & Plan Preparation, Traffic Management and Analysis, Site Development & Permitting, and/or Construction Inspection/Construction Management.

Candidate must possess a B.S. in Civil Engineering with professional licensure preferred, or the ability to obtain professional licensure within 1 year.

 

Specialization is preferred in one or more of the following areas:

•  Roadway planning and design

•  Traffic Signal Design

•  Site development

•  Hydraulics/ drainage

Qualifications

Surveyor in Training (SIT):

Quigg Engineering, Inc. (QEI) is looking for an experienced survey professional with a SIT license or the ability to obtain such license within one year. The duties would include crew chief responsibilities, drafting of topographic surveys and the preparation of plats and legal descriptions. Candidate should expected to travel.

 

Candidate must have experience with:

•  Route surveys

•  Topographic surveys

•  ALTA/NSPS land title surveys

•  Construction services

•  Construction layout

•  Cadastral surveys

Qualifications:

•  SIT license preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year

•  Ability to operate robotic total station and GPS equipment preferred (Leica

  equipment preferred)

•  Ability to work independently and as part of a traditional survey crew

•  Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

•  Valid driver’s license

•  Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microstation/AutoCAD software and

  Geopac preferred

Quigg Engineering, Inc. (QEI) is seeking applications from qualified candidates for Survey Technicians to add to our existing staff of Surveyors. Applicant should have experience in both Topographic survey and Right of Way survey. Having good computer skills and knowledge of both Microstation and Geopak software would be a plus. Applicants should have good communication skills, basic math skills along with the willingness to learn. Position would include office and field work with some out of town travel.
